Sportsdraw is used in 12 different countries around the world to do random draws for sports club and association knockout competitions and tournaments. The program was developed from the first computerized bowls draw done, for more than 2000 players, who took part in the South Africa National Bowls Tournament played in Durban, South Africa in 1972. Other sports include Golf, Bowls, Hockey, Football, Cricket, Netball, Rugby, Squash, Tennis, Darts, Dominoes, Pool, 8Ball, Snooker and Table Tennis and any other sport or game which need knockout draws. It is also used by JKA England for their Karate championships.

As Match Secretary for my own club Cranleigh Royal British Legion and Secretary of Surrey County Bowling Association in UK I have been involved in numerous draws, not just for bowls but in many other sports/games such as golf, hockey, soccer and our in-house club tournaments for snooker, pool, billiards, table tennis, crib, darts, dominoes and even shove ha’penny.
The program has been improved and the speed of an average draw is now less than 2 seconds. By comparison, in our manual draws we normally had 4 people involved and it would take over an hour to do the knockout draws for the clubs mens, ladies, mixed singles and pairs competitions.
