It is the fourth straight year that Martinez received All-OAC honors; she earned All-OAC honorable mention in each of her first three seasons with the Pioneers. The captain became just the fourth four-time All-OAC performer in Marietta women’s soccer history. Neither Marietta nor Thomas More found many chances in the first half, but the action picked up as the teams returned from intermission in the second half. The Lions, however, scored a goal early in the extra period to pull out the 3-2 victory. With the win, PSU-Altoona improved to 5-0, while Marietta fell to 0-5. Marietta found itself trailing 1-0 in the 7th minute when Danielle Ivancich punched in a shot from the left side of the box following a pass from Meredith Barcia. The Pioneers tied the game at 1-1 in the 49th minute. Senior Jessica Martinez (Strongsville/Magnificat) sent a shot into the middle of the box that was deflected by a Lion player and into the back of the net.
