Saturday evening.     The Yellow Jackets entered the game ranked #19/20 in the polls with the Griffins ranked #23/24 with both teams undefeated overall and in WVIAC play.      Brian Mitchell carried 21 times for 228 yards and three touchdowns before sitting out the entire fourth quarter with an injury.      Junior quarterback Kevin O'Brien went 18-of-30 passing for 214 yards with one touchdown pass to Jermain King.     King finished with five catches for 56 yards.     Defensively DeMichael Nesbitt had a big day for the Jackets with 15 tackles including one sack.     Seton Hill picked up 459 total yards compared to 443 for WVSU.      WVSU is now 5-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Click view full story for rest of the article View Full Story Jackets win Thriller 21-20 over Fairmont State West Virginia State University improved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the WVIAC with a 21-20 win over Fairmont State University. The Yellow Jackets trailed 20-7 going into the fourth quarter. But after the WVSU defense forced a punt the Jackets took the ball with just under 12 minute sto play and methodically marched 60 yards in six plays with Brian Mitchell carrying the ball in on a 24 yard scamper with 9:18 remaining. The defense held again, allowing the Falcons just 7 yards on three plays before they were forced to punt from there own 23. The Jackets started their final drive from their own 47 with 7:00 to play Fabian Payne ran for 14 yards on the first play.A couple of plays later quarterback Kevin O'Brien hit Ryan Douglass with a 28 yard pass. After two running plays came up short O'Brien drilled a pass to Jermain King for an 11-yard touchdown  (pictured right) with 3:40 second to put WVSU up for good. FSU marched down the field and had a chance to win the game as time expired, but former Capital High star Alex Ashley's 41-yarder missed just right.
