The U.I.T. rules are re-enforced by the IBSA rules but not inserted nor restated here.. These rules must be enforced in all I.B.S.A. competitions. Procedures of the events and rules of the competitions Shoots per target: only one shot per target in every championship. Attempt targets: all shooters must provide 4 attempts targets for each competition. POSITIONS Air rifle prone: The shooting range must comprise a table. The measures are: Height: 80 to 90 centimetres. Minimum width: 2.50 meters. This table may be fitted out with a groundsheet. The shooter may also use a deep carpet to put down his elbows (see U.I.T. rules). he must lie on the shooting post and turn his head towards the targets. He must held the rifle with the two hand and only one shoulder. The rifle can rest on the forecast support only on the back part, one centimetre in front of the trigger guard. When he is aiming, he can put the cheek close to the butt of the rifle. Both forearms neither jacket sleeves can come into contact the support. Air rifle standing: The shooter must stand, freely, with the two feet on the ground or the ground sheet of the shooting range without any other support. The rifle must be held with the two hands and the shoulder, the cheek and the part of the chest that is next to the right shoulder ; however, the rifle must no be held by the jacket or the chest somewhere else than on the shoulder and the right part of the chest. The top part of the left arm and the elbow can rest against the thorax or the hip. the rifle can rest on the bracket. In such a case, the contact point will be at + or - 1 centimetre from the balance point of the rifle. In order to recover more easily his position in front of the target, the standing shooter can put a mark on the floor; he will touch this mark only with the front of the left foot. Air rifle sitting: The shooter must sit, freely, on a stool that does not comprise any back. He can put down the feet on the floor. He must held the rifle with the two hands and the shoulder, the cheek and the part of the chest that is next to he right shoulder; however, the rifle must not be held by the jacket or the chest somewhere else than on the shoulder and the right part of the chest. The top part of the left arm and the elbow can rest against the thorax or the hip. The rifle can rest on the bracket. In such a case, the contact point will be at + or - 1 centimetre from the balance point of the rifle. No part of the body or the rifle can come into contact with the shooting table on which the bracket rests. RULES RELATIVE TO THE EQUIPMENT Clothes: the clothes worn by the shooter (jacket, underclothes, strengthening, paddings, etc.) must correspond to the U.I.T. rules. Acoustic earphones: The sounds transmitted by the earphones cannot exceed a number of decibels likely to hamper the neighbouring shooters, Ammunitions: The allowed projectiles, indifferent in square, are made of lead or any other soft material.diameter: maximum 4.5 m/m (calibre .177) Rifle: any type of air rifle or Co2 rifle, that seems conventional and in conformity with the specifications of the U.I.T. rules the following improvements: The weight of the weapon fitted with the aim device must not exceed 6 kilos. FURTHER TECHNICAL ADJUSTMENTS Luminous intensity captor: the only electronic aim devices that are used are those you can buy in any shop. Apart from the electronic aim device, no assistant device can fit out the rifle (like front sight, backsight adjuster, etc.).
