Quicksilver Sold Rossignol Quiksilver, Inc. announced Wednesday that it has received a binding offer for the acquisition of 100% of ski and snowboard equipment and clothing maker Rossignol Group. The offer is made by Chartreuse & Mont Blanc, headed by Bruno Cercley, a former CEO of Rossignol, returning the company to French ownership. It has been an honour and a pleasure to shoot alongside the talented Steve Lloyd, Adam Clark, Gene Dwarkin, and Grant Gunderson, as well as their athlete partners. From ping-pong and reggaeton sessions with Herman Maier and the Austrian team to our clown servers at breakfast lunch and dinner, its an experience none of us will soon forget. Avalanche danger was assessed as low, as expected in late summer, but the particular spot the avalanche struck was known for being prone to avalanches. Apparently dozens more climbers could have been killed if the avalanche had hit a different time.
