Welcome to US Handstrength! This site serves as a resource for upcoming competitions, results, and records for grip competition. Most strength athletes and even regular joes know the importance of strong hands yet not many people compete in it as a sport. We wondered why this was true, knowing that stronger hands bring a positive carry-over to just about any sport or daily activity, and knowing that competition elicits from us our best training focus and dedication. There seems to be two main reasons for this. One, people don’t know about grip competitions. And two, for those who do, grip competitions are so few in number that there is not likely to be one in your local area. U.S. HandStrength is a step in the right direction to solving those problems. More grip competitions lead to increased awareness that grip is a sport. Increased awareness leads to more grip competitions. And that nifty little cycle leads to more, better, and stronger competitors. Competition demands that we find who’s the best. We work on behalf of that competitive drive.
