November 15, 2008 - Derrike and Kevin
Lepage did not make the show because slower qualifying cars had more owner
points and a champions provisional was used.

November 8, 2008 - Derrike, Kevin
Lepage, and Jason White did not make the show. Derrike updated us by saying,
"Things did not go well for us this weekend. We struggled with the 82 car with
Jay Robinson Racing. The car would not turn and kept chattering the front tires
which means it needed front grip and which they could not accomplish. I missed
making the field by 8 one-hundredths of a second.
"Additionally, both of my own cars missed the show as well. Kevin Lepage tied
Stanton Barrett but he had more points so he made the race and Kevin did not. We
also had Jason White in the 78 team Vangle Dodge and he was not quick enough
either.
"It certainly was a poor result all the way around, quite disappointing to
say the least. All we can do is go to Homestead and try and do better.
"I am going to drive my own car the 78 team Vangle Dodge in hopes of getting
that car sorted out for next year. I will update you from Miami next week."

Northwest Motorsports Hall of Fame
November 3, 2008 - Derrike told us, "I
will be making an appearance at the Tacoma Dome on Sunday, November 9th, 2008,
at the Motorsports 2008 Car Show. On Tuesday November 11th, my father and I will
be inducted into the Northwest Motorsports Hall of Fame. Obviously I am very
pleased and honored about the induction and being inducted along side my father
makes it even more special, along with many other notable names in the world of
motorsports that I grew up watching and admiring in the Drag Racing field. It
will be a memorable night and I am looking forward to it." Further information:

O'Reilly Challenge
November 1, 2008 - Derrike finished the
race in 34th position. Kevin Lepage in the #73 finished the race in 41st position. Johnny Sauter in
the #78 did not make the show.
After the race, Derrike updated us. He said, "The Texas weekend had its ups
and downs. As for the 4 car, I only got a few laps of practice on used tires and
then qualified on them as well with a poor result. The 73 car qualified very
well! Kevin Lepage ran a great lap and qualified 17th. We seem to have problems
with the 78 on mile and a half tracks. We cannot keep the car from hitting the
racetrack. Johnny Sauter has done a great job for us, but we have not given him
the necessary equipment to get the job done.
"In the race, our used tires went away quickly and the car got very loose. We
backed up quickly and fell laps down. We continued to battle the car without
much success. I got in the wall coming out of turn four and went behind the wall
for repairs. We came back out and finished the race 34th.
"I will not be in the 4 car for the remainder of the year, so we will have to
qualify our way into the show. The number at Phoenix will be 82.
"I will update you on who will be driving the 78 for the rest of the year as
Johnny Sauter will be concentrating solely on the Cup Series for the rest of the

October 26, 2008 - After the weekend in
Memphis, Derrike said, "This weekend went pretty well for all of us. Both of our
cars qualified well for the event. Johnny Sauter qualified 23rd and Kevin Lepage
qualified 31st. Although we had to start and park the two of them, both cars
showed that they are competitive race cars. I qualified 39th. I did not get much
practice and the car would not turn. It started out that way in the race which
got us down laps, but once they were able to make some adjustments the car
started to come around. We ended up finishing 26th. It was an enjoyable day
getting to run the entire race.
"We are off to Texas next week and then on to Phoenix and Homestead to end
the year. We hope to have a sponsor for Kevin Lepage to race the 73 car in
Phoenix. I will update you when plans are confirmed."
Derrike started the race in 39th position, Kevin Lepage started the race in
31st position, and
Johnny Sauter started the race in 23rd position.

Martinsville
October 18, 2008 - Nick Tucker finished the
truck race in 35th position.

Derrike let us know the events of today. He said, "Rain has denied us the
opportunity to attempt to qualify for the race at Martinsville. Two weeks in a
row is very disappointing. We had tested the COT car and the 73 truck at Caraway
Speedway in preparation for this weekend. Johnny Sauter and I both made laps in
the car with very positive results. I was very excited about the weekend, but we
will have to look at the possibility of trying elsewhere.
"Rain has altered the schedule for the Trucks as well. We do not know what
the schedule will be until the morning. We anticipate an early practice session
and then qualifying. Robert Bruce will make his debut in the series in the
number 73 truck and Nick Tucker will drive the 74 truck as he has done this
year."
Derrike's Latest
October 14, 2008 - Derrike updated us with
the latest. He said, "This past weekend was not what I was hoping for. First of
all the weather put a damper on our Sprint Cup effort. It washed out qualifying
which sent us home without the chance to attempt to make a qualifying effort.
Although it allowed us the time to put the car through the inspection process
which was quite helpful and it went well for us, so we should be better prepared
for Martinsville this weekend.
"On the Nationwide front, we had a lot going on as well. We had two new
companies on our 73 and 78 Nationwide series race cars. Germane Tool Group and
Germane RED were onboard. Fred Hoeffken was at the race with us and we have
enjoyed our time getting to know each other. We also had the pleasure of having
Dale Clemons who is the owner of Vangle, another new company with products and
services that we have been promoting. We had a promotion with my nieces Amber &
Angela and a Vangle Craftsman Truck on display at the Quaker Steak N Lube in
Concord introducing Vangle Assist (a concierge service) and Vangle Vault (a
remote data back up service).
"Kevin Lepage qualified well with the 73, but we had some chassis issues with
the 78 car driven by Johnny Sauter and we were unable to get that car qualified.
As for myself with the Jay Robinson number 4 car, we struggled right off the
truck. I only made 4 laps on the track but could not even get the car up to
speed because of some issues with suspension that they were unable to fix. Thus
we really could not even qualify or race the car successfully so we had to park
the car. It could have been a potentially dangerous situation for me.
"So it is a weekend off for Nationwide and we will head off to Martinsville
Speedway where we will have a new young driver, Robert Bruce, driving the number
73 Taylor race Products/Mid Atlantic Wrecker Service Dodge Truck this weekend in
his Craftsman Truck Series debut. I have known Robert and his family for a long
time and I am pleased for him to get an opportunity to move up from the Late
Model Series. We are both looking forward to this weekend and working together.
"Additionally, we will have the Team Vangle.com/ Vangle Vault Dodge Truck
entered as well with Nick Tucker behind the wheel. Nick has worked with us all
year and has been very helpful and committed to the development of our whole
program.
"Finally, I get to come back to the Cup Series with the Cope/Keller Racing Dodge
entry. Germane RED from Reading, PA will be on as an associate sponsor as well
as Design Elite, a home interior design company based in Concord, NC. I am
looking forward to getting to the track this weekend. I will update you further
as everything unfolds."

race in 43rd position. Kevin Lepage finished in 39th position.

- There was an
article about C2P Suspension Technology so Derrike was asked about the
company. "C2P is a brand of shocks that I sell worldwide," Derrike said. "It was
developed after 2QWIK with improvements, some new variations, and processes that
made it much more competitively priced. We produce shocks for motorcycles, ATV,
stock cars, dirt cars, midgets, sprint cars, modified cars, snowmobiles, road
bikes, some road cars, and specialty cars such as Lotus Elise, Viper, Evo, Miata,
Corvette, Lambourgini, Ferrari, etc. The C2P brand is not approved for the three
top series of NASCAR. It is approved for ARCA and many other series across the
United States for the grass roots local racing series. As for 2QWIK, it was a
shock line that I started with. It was very nice utilizing the finest materials
and was very high priced. It was sold through an exclusive distributor, which
did not work out, so it was discontinued."
