For the first time in history of this team, the U-1 designation will go to the locally owned, Miss Madison/Oh Boy! Oberto!! What an awesome year we have had! And the crew... this crew is THE best crew in the sport! They worked hard both in the off season and during the race season to give the Oberto family and the Madison citizens one super fast race boat. Steve David drove a perfect race to bring this championship home!!! There has been an ongoing battle between the airshow folks and the boat race folks within the Freedom Festival. Now the airshow people have launched an all out media blitz to prove that THEY are the draw for the Evansville Freedom Festival! We boat fans, teams, and enthusiasts MUST unite and make OUR voices heard!! The Mayor of Evansville must know that without the unlimiteds WE would not attend the Festival. Please email ALL of the following and let them know how much Evansville means to you, how many years you've been going (or planning on going) and a ball park of what you and your group spends each year to attend the Evansville race.
