Thank you for visiting our website. 2008 marks our 24th year
here at Cottonwood Farm.
On behalf of Sarah, Marty and Terry Hunt we would like to express our
appreciation
to all our customers who have become friends, and to each of our employees who have
become like family. It has been our pleasure to work for you, and with
you.
For over two decades at Cottonwood Farm our only goal
has been to breed, raise and sell outstanding
equine athletes. Our plan to accomplish that goal is simply summarized in our
motto -
"Raising
the standard of breeding excellence...again"
Over the years we have been blessed with some great stallions,
outstanding broodmares, and a tremendous staff of employees who share that
commitment and dedication.

What Now?
 At this point Cottonwood
Farm is clearly headed in a new direction. As our plans become clearer I
will try to keep the public informed. In an effort to clear up any rumors
- we do still own Cole Muffler, and he is still here in our stallion barn.
If we are able to come up with a workable plan we hope to continue his career
right here at Cottonwood Farm, but there are major hurdles to clear in order for
us to make that happen. We are looking into a number of options for the
future, including to operate as a stallion station and boarding farm. We
are currently considering offers from stallion owners to stand outside studs at
Cottonwood Farm beginning in 2009, and we are looking at providing customized
boarding and breeding services for mare owners who might not have enough time or
adequate facilities to provide proper care. In previous years we could
only accept a very limited number of yearlings to prep for fall sales, but
having sold our own weanlings at the reduction sale we may be able to take on a
much larger agent consignment for next year. Art's Conquest is consigned
to the upcoming Harrisburg sale...as are 18 of our very best broodmares.
All but one of them is in foal to Cole Muffler for a 2009 foal. After that
sale we will have a better understanding of what is, and what is not, possible
for us to try to tackle going forward.
Over the course of our past twenty four years we have made
dear friends, enjoyed great horses and shared terrific memories. No matter
what our future holds in store we have been blessed. On behalf of
everyone at Cottonwood Farm, we would like to thank everyone who has touched our
lives over the years.
