League Information
Teeball (5 & 6 year olds) for our youngest players stresses developing
baseball "fun"damentals with no competition. Tees and soft-texture
balls are used to build confidence. Check the Teeball

Rookie League Baseball (7 - 9 year olds) is a more structured league
that stresses baseball skills development and introduces team game play.
A full schedule of six-inning umpired games in which a pitching machine
is used for 4 innings and players pitching for the two middle innings.

Minor League Baseball (9 - 12 year olds) is a traveling league with
a full schedule of six-inning umpired games in which players do all the
pitching and catching. Pitchers may work up to six innings
during a game, and base stealing is allowed (with some restrictions).
A regulation-weight Little-League-approved baseball is used. Placement
in this league is based upon experience and skill level. Check the

Major League Baseball (9 - 12 year olds) is similar to the Minor
League, except that the competition level is higher due to increased skill
level. Pitchers may work up to six innings during a game, and
the running game becomes more important as any base may be stolen.
Placement in this league is based upon experience and skill level.

Rookie League Softball is an in town
softball program for 1st graders, Transition grade and 2nd grade children.
Rookie Softball is a league that emphasizes learning the game of softball,
developing throwing, fielding and batting skills while emphasizing fun, team
play and self-esteem. The program is developed with some tailored rules that
are age appropriate and the coaches umpire games. Rookie League Softball is
developed on a non-interference basis with the Littleton soccer program. Games
and practices are scheduled during the weekday evenings. A typical season
schedule will run 10 weeks with 8 to 10 games scheduled and 1 practice per
week. The games will use a pitching machine for the entire game with the
possibility of coaches pitching if required.

Minor League Softball: Minor League

weekday evenings. A typical season schedule will run 10 weeks with 8 to 10
games scheduled and 1 practice per week. The games will be player pitch with
the possibility of coach’s pitch if required.

Major League Softball: Major League

emphasizing fun, team play and self-esteem. This program includes advanced
use of the ASA rules of Softball with umpiring being performed by ASA
sanctioned umpires. The program is developed on a non-interference basis with
the Littleton soccer program. Games and practices are scheduled during the
weekday evenings. A typical season schedule will run 10 - 12 weeks with 8 to
10 games scheduled and playoffs. A team will typically practice 1 time per
week. The games will be entirely player pitch.

Placement in each of the Baseball leagues is based
on age as of August 1 of the playing season. In individual cases, placement may
be adjusted for the needs of the child.

Evaluation day is held in the early Spring for registered players.

We use evaluations to form fair, balanced, competitive teams and to
assess player skill levels. There are no evaluations for the T-ball league.
