Welcome to SCPK, the Parkour website for the south coast of England. Our goal is to create a place which traceurs from across the south coast can use to organise training sessions, find other traceurs in their area, get information on some great places to practice, and also learn more about Parkour and how to do it. We also host Parkour pictures and videos submitted by traceurs from across the community, so if you want somewhere to put pictures of your latest training session, or find some great videos to get inspiration from, this is the place to come.
We aim to promote a friendly, non-competitive and helpful atmosphere, and we already have a growing community of traceurs on our forums, who are all willing to help those who wish to take up Parkour. As well as the forums, we have area ambassadors right accross the south coast. Our ambassadors are here to help you get started with Parkour, and to help introduce you to other people who train in your area. Currently we do not have an ambassador for every town, but get in touch with the person nearest to you, and they'll do their best to help you out.
Our ambassadors are happy to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to email them with anything. From east to west, our ambassadors are:

I hope you'll all understand but with immediate effect I am handing you guys'n'girls my resignation from SCPK.
I have thought long and hard about my role here and believe someone more dedicated should now be considered to replace me.
I have had a great time with all the people here regardless of any issues that arose. I saw you all as my extended family and you will all be greatly missed.
I would like to thank you all for opening my eyes and for being a great community. You will be sadly missed.
I believe it's time for a greater change in SCPK and for myself.
Thank you all once again, for the pointers and showing me around your beautiful city's and country side.
I take with me all that I have gained with the help from all of you and a plentiful supply of great memories and faces that I have met.

I went out stupidly without putting any sun cream on and i was out in the sun topless all day from about 11 till 5.
The result is looking as though i have a red long sleeved t-shirt on... Yes i look like a lobster. A.k.a i got really badly sun burnt and now im sore!
Just a little note to all free runners:
Take Sun cream out when training
Drink lots of water - Keep hydrated
Have short rests in the shade so you dont suffer from heat stroke.

Team 101, Streeforce D.C and Team Jiayo teamed up today to show off the new Calvin Klein underwear.
We had 3 half hour slots to fill which included dance routines from Streetforce D.C, mixed dance and tricking slots from Team Jiayo and Streetforce D.C. and also Free Running, Parkour and Pro Jumping from Team 101.
Little did we know we had to do the shows topless so that we could show off the boxers that Calvin Klein supplied for us. Some of the guys even decided to model in the window of the shop with just their boxers on.
Overall it was a great day with a lot of action and a huge audience. Hopefully the video will be up soon so you can see the action yourself.
There will be another show late next month, around the 26th and 27th July in Gunwharf, so get yourselves down there to watch! comments? | | Score: 5Article in Newbury TodayPosted by thebutton / Thursday, June 12, 2008 (14:39:16) / (468 reads) In response to an article in the newspaper 'Newbury Today' portraying parkour in a negative light, we would like to post the following statement re-iterating South Coast Parkour's commitment to promoting safe training methods.
We do NOT condone roof jumps in any way shape or form - do them at your own risk. The advantages to training at heights are MINIMAL. It is our opinion that the added risk is not worth the effort, and that much more benefit is gained from repetition of small jumps at ground level than large jumps at heights.
We urge all our members to train safely and maturely - this also means respecting that we are not the only users of an environment and you have a responsibility to other users, pedestrians etc.
We would also like to take this moment to refute the allegations that the teenager who died last year, Alex Leatherbarrow, lost his life whilst freerunning. We would draw people's attention to this BBC article, which quotes the coroner. A verdict of accidental death was recorded, probably a result of vertigo, while cannabis usage may also have played a part.

Team 101 and Team Jiayo worked in conjunction with one another to put on a display of tricking and free running for audiences in Fareham town centre for an event sponsored by Nandos Restaurant.
The day consisted of 3 seperate performances, followed by the talented unsigned singer Shirin (www.shirinuk.com) who performed a 30 minute set of her own R&B songs, as well as some covers. Shirin was accompanied by a local dance group called "Streetforce" who also entertained the crowds.
Overall the day went very well, with only a few mess ups / injuries.
