There were many countries represented, Italy , German, Holland and Austria , to mention just a few. Unfortunately the weather was unkind, raining most of the time. Megan from Kelly College Prep School raced in the 10yrs olds class and despite being ill for two days ....................................Click here for more Champion of Champions  Kelly College 's Caroline Ball , from Calstock, took part in the Champion of Champions this weekend at Dover Docks in Kent . This event is three separate sea swims, one of 5 miles, one of 3 miles and finally a 1 mile swim. This was Caroline's first attempt at this competition. The five mile swim started at 9.30am and Caroline was first swimmer home in 1 hour 35mins and 10 seconds. The 3 miles swim started at 2pm and again Caroline was first home, in 56mins 20 seconds. The final swim of the day saw a very tired Caroline touch in second place, but with her times from the other two swims added on to this one she became ‘Champion of Champions' winning not only the Ladies event but the overall Championship as well. Best in the Country  Ella Ellis (9) of Kelly College Prep School took part in the Swimathon held at Kelly College Swimming Pool in April for Marie Curie and raised £200 for the charity. Ella, from Crapstone, was also ranked first in the Country for the 9 years and under category for the 5km challenge finishing in 1 hour 41 minutes and 20 seconds. 2007 IRONMAN World Champion to visit Kelly 2007 IRONMAN World Champion, Chris 'Macca' McCormack (Australia) will be visiting Kelly College this coming Friday 13th June to visit a selected group of athletes. He will be at Kelly from 10.00am until 2pm. 'Macca' is probably one of the most successful triathletes across all distances available. His credentials include; 2007 IRONMAN World Champion 5x IRONMAN Australia Winner 12 x Winner of IRONMAN Events Worldwide 1997/98 ITU World Champion and ITU World Cup Series winner (first athlete to achieve this). He also holds an IRONMAN PB of 7hrs 54mins for the 2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile marathon run. Plus rumour has it that he holds the FASTEST transition time in the whole world! Devon Swimmer of the Year Award 2007 goes to Cameron Brodie  The Swimmer of the Year award for 2007 goes to Cameron Brodie. Fourteen year old Cameron moved to Kelly College in January and immediately made his mark on the County when he became our first ever Junior Champion when he finished runner up in the 1500m freestyle. He went on to gain two further Junior Championship titles in the 100 and 200m butterfly. Lauren won the Sport Performer with a Disability Award in the Living Sport Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Sports Awards 2007.
