Our mission is to enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics, to promote personal achievement, enhanced self esteem, and the lowering of barriers between people. 1983 - 2008 25 Years!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! To all the participants in the 2008 HOPE & POSSIBILITY 5M held on Sunday, June 22nd. Over 3500 adults (including NY State Governor David Paterson) and 700 children participated in this AWESOME event. ING NYC Marathon 2008 November 2, 2008 Achilles Members can now register online through the lottery at ingnycmarathon.org. Please note: You MUST list ATC and include that you are an AWD (Athlete with Disability). Achilles sponsorship is available to ACTIVE members who are officially registered with the Achilles Track Club and who have provided proof of Achilles participation over the past year. You MUST have all information and marathon participation request submitted by JUNE 1, 2008. Guide applications are available here. Completed applications must be submitted no later than August 13. A limited number of Guaranteed Entries are available for those who who make a commitment to raise a minimum of $2,500 to support our mission.
