with the 'Kung Fu Masters' in 2009

Profile of the Shifu:
Shifu Heng Wei is a 35th Generation Master from the Shaolin Temple in Henan,
China. He began his training at the ages of 6 years
old. Shifu Heng Wei became a Master at the age
of 16.
He is highly skilled in traditional
Shaolin Forms, weapons, acrobatics and sanshou fighting skills.
The Master has been teaching here in the UK since 2003.
Shaolin Kung Fu - Beginners level (for
all new students)
This class will improve stamina, flexibility
and co-ordination as well as enabling students to develop
discipline and self-control. This level teaches basic but
essential stances, kicks, punches, blocks and forms. Shaolin
Kung Fu requires time and dedication to build the basic skills.
Advanced Beginners
This class builds on the basic structure
and introduces different movements, forms and techniques.
All students who have passed their grading exams should attend
this class.
Intermediate Level - 1
For students who have passed the beginners
level examination. Level 1 increases student's knowledge of
Shaolin Kung Fu and introduces basic Sanshou techniques and
applications. Students will learn to develop co-ordination
together with speed and power.
Chen Style Tai Chi
This class is available to all students.
It is beneficial for circulation, breathing, concentration
and general health. It is suitable for all ages and levels
of fitness. People who practise Tai Chi find that their stress
levels are greatly reduced – essential for today's hectic
lifestyle. Whilst the forms and movements are smooth and graceful,
they contain hidden power and fighting applications.
Qi Gong/Meditation
Internal classes essential for learning
to relax not only ones body but also the mind. Through these
gentle health-improving exercises you learn to harness your
inner strength by a series of controlled movements. Qi gong
focuses on controlling you breathing and helping to build
up your internal energy (Qi).
