We are dedicated to turning-out champion-calibre wrestlers! We are a youth wrestling club based at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon, about 15-miles from Portland. We will typically field a team of 50-to-75 competitive wrestlers, most of whom live in the Beaverton, Southridge, Hilhi, Glencoe, and Century high school areas. Our team wrestles the very best of the USA sanctioned Open Tournaments in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Our wrestlers need only ask one simple question...Do you want to be a "champion-calibre" wrestler..???... AND...How badly do you want it...???...USA Stud Wrestling is fully funded through it's club training fee's.For the 2008/2009 season, USA Stud Wrestling will again introduce "USA Team Elite", a tournament competition team of our select wrestlers who will train, specifically, to elevate their game compared to national-level competition. The USA Stud Wrestling training program is designed to take "beginners", or those possessing competitive wrestling skills, and to further develop those skills to a refined "champion-calibre" competitor. Utilizing outstanding facilities, the USA Stud Wrestling program is dedicated to developing a strong work ethic, increased self-esteem and self-confidence, respect, discipline and a strong character in all of our members!Spanning both the colligiate and freestyle seasons, our training programs run from September through April. Each competitor requires a USA Wrestling Members card, which allows your wrestler to compete in USA Wrestling sanctioned events. A basic, secondary, medical insurance is provided to all card-holders. The one-time card cost is $35.00.Basic club fee's for the 2008/2009 season, which fund our existence, are a mere $85.00 per season for "Beginners" and "Intermediate" level wrestlers and $125.00 for "USA Team Elite" wrestlers. "Beginner" wrestlers will compete in their own "beginner-level" saturday competition's, held throughout the season. For "intermediate and advanced level" wrestlers, we feature intense conditioning, drilling, and technique development, with a strong emphasis on scoring and defense, providing your wrestler with advanced skills, allowing for an easy fit at national-level competitions! Regular, on-going, "wrestler evaluations" will be conducted to determine the very best training and competition-level for each participant! 2006 Stud Camp A Huge Success! From the moment the doors opened on "Day #1" of this years 2006 USA Stud Summer National Training Camp, it was evident that this particular camp had all the makings of being the "very best ever", and by the time the three days had wrapped-up, it was very clear indeed!!!This 2006 edition of the "Stud Camp" kicked-off with a fast-paced Friday, with nationally-known granby specialist Keith Lowrance from Virginia at the controls. Lowrance, a USA High School Coach Of The Year, worked both himself and the 140 wrestlers in attendance into a constant sweat! While some of Oregon's less experienced coaches might suggest that attending a "granby-type" camp is a waste of time, those in attendance realized how ridiculous those suggestions were, right from the beginning!Coach Lowrance worked wrestlers from across the country through takedowns, rolls and tilts, through turks and turk cradles, breakdowns and defense and much, much more! It was obvious that the "granby" was not the only item on the menu!Saturday's sessions picked-up right where Fridays' left off with an expanding tilt session, a solid granby session, both short and long sits, transitioning from offense to defence and back to offense, and some superb defense.Sunday's sessions featured an explosive turk session, highlited by demonstrations of turks from many positions, an exciting "side-ride cradle" session, defending the cradle, inside and outside cradles, cradle counters and even counters to cradle counters.Live wrestling sessions were scattered throughout the three days of camp and some dynamite matches were had by all!Our special thanks go out to all in attendance, to the many coaches who contributed time and energy on the mats, to the team mothers who prepared lunch each day for the wrestlers in attendance, and especially to coach Lowrance who has confirmed his return to our Stud Camp! The next USA Stud hosted training camp is our 2006 Christmas Camp of Champs, slated for late December. Registrations are now being accepted online.USA Stud Wrestling coaches have been asked to attend and coach at a southern Oregon camp slated for the first weekend in October, as well as Washington camp slated for the Auburn area in September. Details for both of these camps will be posted very soon, here on our website! Bresser,Crawford,Gutches,Pena,Clark...World All-Stars The World Of Wrestling and Wrestling USA Magazine have announced the world's best, some 70 wrestlers selected from over 10,000 competitors, the 2004 World All-Star Team!!! No doubt these five really put-in the mat time and deserve every bit of recognition they get! Who's The Sissy?...Well, obviously it's Sissy Bresser, our new 5-year old PeeWee wrestler. Her training partner is 5-year old Gunnar Partain who's just itching to show her the ropes! Sissy is the younger sister of Ronnie, Zechariah, and Michael Bresser. Gunnar is the younger brother of Stud wrestler Graysen Partain! Sissy and Gunnar are just two of the over 10 "new" Jr. Stud peewee wrestlers that have joined Oregon Stud Club Wrestling for the 2004/2005 season. If these two are anything like their older sibblings, these two will go on to record some impressive career's! They'll wrestle this year in the Metro Youth League! Stud Coach Billy Groat Is Boss!New Jr. Stud's, 5-year old Gunnar Partain(top), and Jonathon Hamilton, age 4(bottom), are in one of those gruelling/mandatory drill sessions that can not end soon enough! These two are really looking forward to the "get a drink" break, so they can forget the drink and just climb the wall's! Intensive Drilling, or Faking? These two said the were "working hard", but by the look on Sissy's face, she meant "hardly working"! Oregon Stud Club Wrestling "Beginner" session's run 90-minutes, and include a conditioning program, drilling, some games, and often some live wrestling! Stud Website Win's Web Award!
