RALLY COLORADO 2008 will be held in the beautiful year-around resort community of Steamboat Springs over the long weekend of September 11th-14th. The national level event will be the eighth round of the nine event Rally America National Rally Championship and will include approximately 108.37 stage miles on Saturday and Sunday. The Middle Cog-1 Rally America Regional Rally, a Coefficient 3 event, will be held on Saturday and will include approximately 67.61 stage miles. The Middle Cog-2 Rally America Regional Rally, a Coefficient 2 event, will be held on Sunday and will include approximately 40.76 stage miles. Both of these Regional Rallies with be points events for both the Central and Western Rally America Regional Championships and for the Southwest Rally Cup Series.New for this year will be a one-pass recce for RALLY COLORADO 2008 scheduled for Thursday, September 11th. Though we have no space limitations for this function, all teams wishing to participate will need to pre-register in advance online…details for this registration and our “Rules for Recce” will be posted on our website no less than one month in advance of our rally date. Also new for 2008 will be a paved service area in Steamboat Springs for use by our teams throughout the event weekend.All registration and scrutineering is scheduled for Friday, September 12th. A Welcoming Reception for all competitors, service crew personnel, officials and volunteers will be held along with a Parc Expose in downtown Steamboat Springs on Friday evening. On Saturday evening at the same location, there will be a rally car display and Post-Race Party that will include a video show of the “Best of Colorado Cog Rally 2001-2006 and RALLY COLORADO 2007”. The Rally Colorado website has undergone a major upgrade. All components, including the database, the web server, and the content management system were upgraded to new releases. The site was re-built completely from the ground up. Rally content will be returning to the site as quickly as we can get it in. Thanks to everyone for their patience and we are looking forward to the 2008 event!
