Stanford Men's Lacrosse Home Schedule / Results Roster Images Alumni Camp Recruitment Giving Contact Us Welcome to the home of the Stanford Cardinal Men's Lacrosse team. ----------------Website Updated (6/12/2008)--------------- Camp stuff first: the Stanford team will be holding amazing camps this summer on Stanford's campus lead by coach Drew Virk, Stanford players and a host of other collegiate players. Do not miss out...there is still time to sign up (register below). The Cardinal ended the 2008 season making it to the playoffs against Chico State losing in overtime. However, there is no need to be upset because it was the best team that Stanford has been able to assemble in the past five years. The team will be sad to lose their senior leaders in Nick Marmor, Kevin Choo, Taylor Clayton, John "Beaches" Aase, John Lee and James Burleson-Porras, however, look for them to rock their local men's leagues over the next 20 years. More Importantly for the Stanford Cardinal, the team looks forward to a outstanding next year lead by three stellar captains, Amit, Will and Streets. Amit Vasudev has demonstrated great leadership in the goal over the past two years as starting goalie directing the defense with his heart and voice. One thing the crowd will have to watch out for is his hospital passes to his midfield line. Will Young started playing for Stanford as a sophomore but has spent little time taking a lead role as defensive specialist. Not only can he strip the defense with the best in the league but he also is renowned for his effective and awe-inspiring halftime speeches. Since Nick Streets freshmen year he has dominated the transition game as longstick midfield showing leadership off and on the field. In his senior year he will finally fill the captain position he deserves aided by the fact that his body has only been strengthened since he first took off his shirt that fateful day in Oregon (he will never be able to live that one down). The Card's attack union co-presidents Harry Zeitlin and Gabe Lupin are looking to replace their lost their third co-president (Kevin Choo) due to graduation and are looking for a replacement. Who will it be? In my last interview with Harry did not add much to issue when he said "I can't hear you my hair is the way" but eventually was helpful, "I think when I am feeling good, I will be able to step up but we are hoping for a star studded freshman to replace our leader [kevin choo]" Apparently that is all that an interviewer can expect from Harry. Gade responded, "I am not worried because once I teach the new attackman my patented swim move we will dominate anyone." Rookie young bloods to look out for include Danny "The Manimal" Gililand, Will "More like Chill" Geier, Chris Schaller and Elliot "BP Jr." Williams. PLAYING FOR THE CURE 2007  This year's fifth annual Playing for Cure clinic and alumni game was a huge success. We donated 700 dollars to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (check out their website at www.dana-farber.org). After the clinic, the Stanford team played against a competitive group of Stanford Alumni players. The game was close until the final seconds when the current team scored the winning goal against Michael Zell in cage. Better luck next year Zell and company. We look forward to an even bigger event next year!
