Arizona Region of USA Volleyball Region Information Parents Coaches Corner Handbook   Adults Juniors Beach Officials Camps Home Registration Handbook About Us Board Info Contact Info Newsletter Job Opportunities Links Sponsors Parent Information Nights Scheduled In an effort to educate parents and potential players to what club volleyball is all about the Arizona Region has scheduled some Parent Information Nights. These seminars will be held across the Phoenix metro area in late October. The Information Nights will be staffed by Harold Cranswick, Commissioner of the AZ Region, Eric Hodgson, Marketing, Coaches Education, High Performance and Beach Directors, and Junior Board members from the Phoenix Metro areas. There will be a presentation of what the AZ Region is all about, a question and answer session and a session where available club directors may talk to parents and potential players about their club. If you are interested in what club volleyball is all about, come to the meeting. We are still working on scheduling one or two more but the schedule now is: Monday, Oct 20th - Southwestern College - 7 - 9 pm Monday, Oct 27th - Highland HS - 7 - 9 pm The Arizona Region kicks off it's 20th year with the General Assembly Nearly all of Arizona's Club Directors, several Adult Team Reps and officials showed their presence at the Region's General Assembly on Sunday, September 21st, enjoying a catered lunch, good company and an Olympic Medalist.  USA Libero Nicole Davis flew down from Colorado Springs and gave the pre-Assembly's IMPACT clinic crowd an impromptu passing clinic and talked about her up bringing and who and what motivated her to get to her current status as a Silver medalist at the Beijing Olympic games.  She then joined the General Assembly and started off thanking the group for their efforts in building athletes and training them to get to the Olympic programs she now enjoys. Davis then answered the questions of the group for almost an hour, ranging from her Martial Arts background and the food choices in China to her belief in John Wooden's Pyramid of Success. The assembly was a precursor to the upcoming season.
