Breeders Here
is your chance to advertise your breeding program at the SPHC
Canadian Western Agribition booth. Anyone can submit pictures
of a 2008 APHA foal (colour is a must) if they are willing to
donate the foal to be raffled off at Agribition. In exchange,
the breeder will be entitled to advertise at the SPHC booth. Pictures
and information should be submitted to Karen Kotylak 781-4508
k.kotylak@sasktel.net. Workers will also
be needed during Agribition - contact Karen if you can spare a
day or a few hours.
 Qualify
for 2008 SPHC PAC Hi Point Award
Saskatchewan Paint Horse Club & Saskatchewan Horse Federation
are Working together. All SHF Heritage Circuit 2008 shows have

Ronni Nordal at SPHC. The 2008 Heritage Show/PAC Hi Point award
will be presented to the Hi Point SPHC member for the 2008 Heritage
Show Circuit - based on APHA PAC results at year end. .

added money in each open futurity (does not include select, weanling
jackpot or all breed reining futurity). Futurities are PAC approved.

you are looking for show experience, consider volunteering to
act as a Ring Steward at the Harvest of Colours - you will not
regret it! Please contact Ronni or any director
to volunteer.
The 2008 Lloydminster Spring Show was a success. There were more
horses at the spring show then in 2007. Exhibitors
should be proud of themselves as we received favourable comments
from the APHA judges, including compliments on the exhibitors
enthusiasm and skill. They went so far as to say that it was a
shame none of the exhibitors were planning a trip to the APHA
World Show. Give yourselves a pat on the
back.
Hi
Point show awards for Lloyd show have now been all calculated
and are posted (click here to go to
Lloyd results). All have been presented except hi point solid
paint bred, hi point stallion and hi point novice amateur. Please
contact Ronni in order that we can arrange to get your award to
you. Please remember that in order to qualify you had to be a
SPHC member and have shown in the applicable halter class. These
awards are sponsored by Lammles and Frank's Saddlery.
 Open
All Breed Reining Futurity to be held at the Harvest of
Colours, September 26 - 28 at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Parkland
Manufacturing, Esterhazy, SK, has donated a beautiful saddle to
be awarded to the first place exhibitor and X-Treme Mining and
Demolition has donated a set of chaps to be awarded to second
place. Open to any horse 3 yrs of age or
older. APHA Rules Apply. Must be a SPHC member to Enter. $150.00
entry fee (10% retained by SPHC). See Futurity page for payout
structure.
ELIMINATION DRAW -
for the 3rd straight year, an elimination
draw will be held at the SPHC Harvest of Colours. Every horse
entered (paying an office fee) will be entered in the draw. Over
the course of the show, names will be called out. If your horses'
name has been called, you have been eliminated. The last name
in the hat will win a beautiful set of chaps donated by Wajax
Industries, Saskatoon, SK.
 Attention
13 & Under Youth
don't forget to get your SPHC membership to
make sure you are accumulating points at the Lloydminster and
Moose Jaw shows towards year end awards. DSI Mining, Saskatoon,
SK, has sponsored a saddle to be awarded to the year end hi
point 13 & under youth at the annual awards banquet.

(exception for 13 year old exhibitors showing in divisions other
than 13 & under)*
because the
Saskatchewan Horse Federation (who provides
our show insurance) has passed a new resolution that all youth
(12 & under for now) are required to wear an approved helmet
IN
ALL EVENTS.
