It is controlled by the Occitania Football Association, which was founded in 1901. As Occitania is not a recognised state it is neither a member of FIFA nor UEFA, and the team therefore is not eligible to enter either the World Cup or European Championship. However, they have joined the New Federations Board, and were awarded hosting responsibilities for the inaugural VIVA World Cup in November 2006.Since the Occitania team was established in 2004 they have played matches against Chechnya, Monaco, Northern Cyprus, and Val d'Aran. In the year 2008 Occitania preferred to play in the Europeada 2008 organised by Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) instead of the 2008 VIVA World Cup organised by NF-Board. In the Europeada 2008 Occitania reached the quarter finals, being eliminated there by the later tournament winner South Tyrol.Contents1 Selected international matches2 Tournament records2.1 VIVA World Cup record2.2 Europeada record3 Current Squad3.1 Goalkeepers3.2 Defenders3.3 Midfielders3.4 Forwards4 External links//[edit] Selected international matchesDateVenueScoreJun 05 2008Europeada 2008 - Rhaetia Occitania Province of Bolzano-Bozen0 - 2Jun 03 2008Europeada 2008 - Rhaetia OccitaniaCroats of Romania5 - 0Jun 02 2008Europeada 2008 - Rhaetia OccitaniaSorbs1 - 2Jun 01 2008Europeada 2008 - Rhaetia OccitaniaCimbrians2 - 1Nov 21 20062006 VIVA World Cup - Occitania Occitania Monaco2 - 3Nov 20 20062006 VIVA World Cup - Occitania Occitania Sápmi0 - 7Aug 15 2006Val d'Aran Val d'Aran Occitania4 - 2Apr 15 2006Occitania Occitania Northern Cyprus0 - 3Dec 17 2005France Occitania Monaco1 - 2Mar 3 2005Occitania Occitania Chechnya14 - 0Feb 12 2005Occitania Occitania Monaco0 - 0[edit] Tournament records[edit] VIVA World Cup recordYearRoundPositionGPWDLGSGA 20063rd place match3rd2002210Total2002210[edit] Europeada recordYearRoundPositionGPWDLGSGA 2008Quarter Final5th422085Total422085[edit] Current SquadThis is the squad for the 2006 VIVA World Cup:[edit] GoalkeepersNo.Pos.PlayerDoB (Age)CapsGoalsClubNAGKGuillhem Daumond7 August 198440 San Bres[edit] DefendersNo.Pos.PlayerDoB (Age)CapsGoalsClubNADFAntoine BaumesUnknown00 San Bres]]NADFCyril CamposUnknown00 Endoume]]NADFJoan GenieysUnknown00 San Bres]]NADFCristòl MouyssetUnknown30 Sant TiberiNADFFrederic Nadau22 February 197830 San Tiberi]]NADFSebastian RojasUnknown00 Unknown]][edit] MidfieldersNo.Pos.PlayerDoB (Age)CapsGoalsClubNAMFLaurent BottosUnknown00UnknownNAMFJerémias BuchieriUnknown00UnknownNAMFFranck Grialou28 March 197240 FC GangesNAMFJulian Lautrec11 March 198141UnknownNAMFPatrici Rampon31 August 197420 FC Montastruc[edit] ForwardsNo.Pos.PlayerDoB (Age)CapsGoalsClubNAFWThierry Barre17 February 198441UnknownNAMFJuhane DasconUnknown00UnknownNAFWPatric LegliseUnknown10UnknownNAFWPieric MouyssetUnknown20 Sant TiberiNAFWJoan Riòs10 September 197940UnknownNAFWIdali VeraUnknown00Unknown[edit] External linksOccitania International ResultsOccitania Football Association-includes game summaries and rosters (in Occitan)International footballv • d • eFIFA | World Cup | Confederations Cup | U-20 World Cup | U-17 World Cup Olympics | Asian Games | All-Africa Games | Pan American Games | Island Games | Minor TournamentsWorld Rankings | Player of the Year | Teams | Competitions | Organizations | Codes Asia: AFC - Asian Cup Africa: CAF - Africa Cup of Nations North America: CONCACAF - Gold Cup South America: CONMEBOL - Copa América Oceania: OFC - Nations Cup Europe: UEFA - European Championship Non-FIFA: NF-Board - Viva World Cup NF-Board football teamsv • d • eCasamance1| Chagos Islands | Chechnya1 | Easter Island1 | Gozo1| Greenland | Kiribati1,3 | Maasai People1 | Monaco | Occitania | Padania | Rijeka | Romani people | Sápmi | Sealand2 | Somaliland | Southern Cameroons | Lower Saxony2 | South Moluccas | Tibet | Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus | Wallonia1| West Papua | Western Sahara1 | Yap1| Zanzibar1,3 1 Provisional member. — 2 Associate member. — 3 Local Confederation Associate member.Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occitania_national_football_team" Categories: European NF-Board football teams Views Article Discussion Edit this page History Personal tools Log in / create account if (window.isMSIE55) fixalpha(); Navigation Main page Contents Featured content Current events Random article Search Interaction About Wikipedia Community portal Recent changes Contact Wikipedia Donate to Wikipedia Help Toolbox What links here Related changesUpload fileSpecial pages Printable version Permanent linkCite this page Languages Deutsch Español Français 한국어 Italiano Nederlands 日本語 Occitan Polski This page was last modified on 29 August 2008, at 15:02.
