About Eagle Canoe Club
Eagle Canoe Club is a general canoeing and Kayaking club - we do various types of canoeing
and Kayaking. Our members range in ability and we have whole families as members as well as individual members of all ages. The club has a lot of young members although it is generally recommended that children should be aged 10 or over before joining to ensure that they are strong enough to handle the canoes
or kayaks. Eagle kanoe
Some of us just like paddling as a leisure activity, some are into canoeing as a sport and we all aim to enjoy ourselves!
We became an independent club in 1998 and we are affiliated to the British Canoe Union.
Club nights
These are weekly on Wednesday evenings starting at 6.30pm from April to October and fortnightly during the winter.
On club nights we run training courses, paddle up or down the river, practice safety and rescue techniques, play games, do slalom coaching, etc, and once a month we have a barbecue.

During the year we also run different events and activities. Here's a list of some of the things we do:

Equipment
There's no need to have any equipment of your own, although some members do. At The Centre we use has a wide variety of canoes, kayaks and paddles suitable for all abilities and types of canoeing. There are also wet suits, paddling tops and helmets you can borrow.
