New South Welshman Makes Loud Noise In Eureka Series Opener
Sydney based driver Ian Loudoun blasted away a quality Victorian line up in the opening round of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series last night (October 11) at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway.
Sydneys Loudoun Reigns Supreme At Avalon Raceway
Sydney Sprintcar standout Ian Loudoun made a winning decision mid week to contest the opening round of the Eureka Sprintcar Series held at Avalon Raceway on Saturday night, October 11. Leading from the outset of the 30 lap A-main, Loudoun enjoyed a clean run through traffic to outrun Albury’s Grant Anderson while track specialist and defending Eureka Sprintcar Series champion Matthew Reed followed into third.
Rain Forces Sprintcar, Midget Double Header To Be Abandoned
With steady rain falling over the racetrack area mid-way through the evening, Titan Garages Brisbane International Speedway Promoter (BIS) John Kelly was left with little choice but to abandon the remaining races on tonight's Comp Cams Series/BIS Midget Track Championship double header.
First Official Practise At Ruapuna Speedway.
Ruapuna Speedway roared into life today with the first of 3 proposed practices. There were six Sprintcars that showed up to take the opportunity for a fine and hot day at the track.
Speedway City's Night Practice - Tonight From 6pm...
Tonight's Night Practice at Speedway City will feature all sections. The Pits will be open at 2pm, Spectator entry from 5pm, and the Practice starts at 6pm. Entry Prices will be Adults - $10, Pensioners/Students - $5 and Children 12 years & under will be FREE! The Admission Fee for the Pits will be $20 with a NASR Licence, and $30 without a NASR Licence. Please note no-one under 16 years will be admitted into the Pits unless they have a NASR Junior Mechanics Licence.
Amendment To All Open & 360 Sprintcar Nomination Forms...
Please note there is an amendment to all the Nomination Forms - both Opening Night (Saturday 25th October) and the Australian Sprintcar Masters (Saturday 1st November). The addition to the Nomination Form will be in the TYRE RULE SECTION - "THE TYRE MUST BE BRANDED". This addition will be put onto the Nomination Forms in due course.
