In the Meziere Enterprises
SCEDA Electronics Series, it was point’s leader John Brooks taking the win over
Jim Maher. Brooks had a great .005 light in the final and Maher went red, which
handed the automatic win over to Brooks. In the semi-finals, it was a weird
one. Both cars wound up having ladder bye runs. Brooks had the true ladder bye
and Maher had the ladder bye because Alan Hoefer broke before his bye run the

the final without having any competition. This was very tough luck for Hoefer

stumbled when he left, Chris Nagy had a much better light. This is what
ultimately gave him the ability to take the victory. In the Semi finals, DJ
Houmard defeated Laura Higgins. DJ Houmard had a .009 light and that gave him
the advantage he needed to defeat a red-lighting Higgins. Chris Nagy defeated
Ryan Diosdado in the other semi final. Chris Nagy had a great .007 light in the
final and ran a 7.942 on a 7.94 dial for a .009 package to defeat Diosdado.

dial in the first round to defeat current number 2 in points Jason Dennell,

qualifier! The first award went to Kaylee Fry, who defeated #1 qualifier
Kaetlyn Rice in the quarter finals. Thanks again to the Ball family for this
fun, and profitable, new prize!

in the first round, Chris Forsyth for having a .001 light in the first round but
losing to Jim Willoughby by .002, Mark Kirby for going red by .006 in the second
round, Mild Gedo for going red by .008 in the second round, Pat McConnell for
going red by .008 in the third round, runner-up Alan Hoefer for having a .002
light and losing in the final round to Jim Shelton, Rhobert Strong for breaking
his car on a bye run in the second round and not being able to make the call for
third round, Glenn Kern for losing a double breakout race to Rhobert Strong by
.006 (the difference in their reaction times).
In the Mickey
Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels SCEDA NO-E Category, it was Marvin Roles
taking the $912 win over Michael Agnew in a rather unusual final. By wining
this race, Roles qualified to be part of the KD Kanopy Race of Champions at the
end of the year. This was a weird final, because both drivers ended up going
red. Roles was red by .024 and he left the line second so he got the win.
Agnew was driving the slower car, so he went red first and was red by .031. In
the semi-finals, Agnew defeated Gary Moreno, who also went red by a bunch,
automatically giving Agnew the right to advance to the final. In the other
semi-final match up, Roles defeated John Brooks, who ironically enough also went
red. Brooks was red by .031, which automatically advanced Roles to the final.
Roles also had a great .005 light in the final, so Brooks needed whatever
advantage he could get on the tree. Honorable mention goes out to Jack Swanson
for running a 12.094 on his 12.09 dial in the first round, eventual
semi-finalist Gary Moreno for having a .003 light in the first round and then
running 10.221 on his 10.22 dial for a great .004 package, David Maynor for
having a .003 light in the first round (even though he won, he actually was
second to leave the line in that pair as Alex George had a great .002 light, but
the car fell off, giving Maynor the win), Travis Curry for running a 12.122 on
his 12.12 dial in the first round, Dave Miller for having a .005 light in the
first round, Glen Strelecke for having a .008 light in the first round, John
Joines for running a 14.154 on his 14.15 dial in the second round, Tim Duffy for
having a .007 light in the second round, and semi-finalist Marvin Roles for
having a .005 light in the semi finals.
In the McGee
Cams SCEDA Jr. Dragster Series, it was Chris Nagy taking the victory over Jason
Dennell. Nagy qualified for the junior edition of the KD Kanopy Race of
Champions by taking the victory. Chris Nagy had a better light and was able to
force Dennell to break out in an effort to try and take the stripe. In the
semi-finals, Dennell had a bye run, automatically advancing into the final
round. In the other semi-final match up, Chris Nagy defeated Brad Cannon.
Although Cannon had a much better light in the race, Chris Nagy was able to run
closer to his number to take the victory. Honorable mention goes out to Kyle
Nagy for having a .007 light in the first round, Chelsey Freedle for running a
10.628 on her 10.62 dial to take the win in the first round, semi-finalist Brad
Cannon for having a .004 light in the third round, Ian Perri for having a great
.007 light in the third round but losing to eventual semi-finalist Brad Cannon
because his car wasn’t able to run the number. Tough luck for Brandyn
Willoughby who went red by .001 in the third round to eventual race winner Chris
Nagy. The best package in the first round award of a $50 savings bond sponsored
by Scot Paul went to Chelsey Freedle with a .065 package. The #1 qualifier
award of a plaque and $20 In-N-Out coupon sponsored by the Nagy Family went to
race winner Chris Nagy with a .008 reaction time. Chris Nagy graciously gave
the $20 In-N-Out coupon to the best package in the first round, Chelsey Freedle.

In the
Meziere Enterprises SCEDA Electronics category, it was Jim Mahar taking the
$1000 win over Guy Johnson. Johnson went red by .006 in the final automatically
hading the win and the entry into the KD Kanopy Race of Champions at the year
end over to Jim Mahar. In the semi-finals, Johnson defeated Chad Langdon.
Langdon had a better light by .002, but broke out by more at the stripe in the
double-breakout affair. This advanced Johnson into the final round. In the
other semi-final match up, Mahar defeated current #2 in points, John Brooks.
Brooks went red by .007 automatically handing the win over to Mahar. Honorable
mentions goes out to current points leader Mild Gedo for having a .002 light in
the first round, Larry Rosenbaum for having a .003 light in the first round,
even though he lost to Gedo that round, Chris Stock for having a .007 light in
the first round even though he lost to Robert Brogueire, Michael Gidcumb for
running a 8.904 on his 8.90 dial in the first round, eventual runner-up Chad
Langdon for running 8.908 on his 8.90 dial to defeat Michael Gidcumb in round 2,
and John Brooks for running 10.274 on his 10.27 dial to defeat defending
champion Rhobert Strong. Tough luck to Chris Forsyth who went red by .001 in
the first round causing him to lose to eventual runner-up, Chad Langdon, and
Mark Kirby for losing to current points leader Milt Gedo in the second round
when he ran 10.599 on his 10.60 dial, and Milt Gedo for going red by .003 in the
third round to eventual winner Jim Mahar and then running a 8.263 on his 8.26
dial.
In the
Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels SCEDA No-E Category, it was Ryan
Priddy taking the $672 victory over David Maynor. Priddy had a much better
light and was able to capitalize on that to turn it into a win. By winning, he
also qualified to become a participant of the KD Kanopy Race of Champions at the
end of the year. In the semi-finals, it was Maynor getting a bye run to
automatically advance into the final round. Honorable mentions go out to Jeff
Interlicchia for having a .003 light in the first round, Josh Martin for having
a .004 light in the first round, Marvin Roles for having a .002 light in the
first round, Jeff Interlichia again for having a .001 light in the second round,
Jim Shelton for having a .006 light in the second round even though he lost to
Jeff Interlichia that round, Cynthia Lang for running a 12.200 on her 12.20 dial
in the first round, coupled with a .003 red light on the winning run for a .003
package, eventual runner-up David Maynor for running 12.165 on his 12.16 dial in
the first round, and John Brooks for running a 10.300 on his 10.30 dial in the
second round. This was definitely the day of running right on your dial with 2
happening. So, the points after this race have it with Michael Agnew being in
the lead by 1 point over CW Hoefer. Jeff Interlichia and John Joines are tied
for third 13 points back.
In the McGee Cams SCEDA Jr.
Dragster Series, it was Brad Cannon taking the victory over Saturday’s runner-up
Jason Dennell. The win moved Cannon up into second in points, only one round
behind Chris Nagy. It also qualified him for the junior edition of the KD
Kanopy Race of Champions at the year-end. Dennell moved up into third in
points, only 2 rounds out of first. Dennell went red by .018 which
automatically handed the win over to Cannon in the final. In the semi-finals,
Dennell put together a great .014 package on the bye run. He had a .009 light
and ran a 7.905 on his 7.90 dial. In the other semi-final, it was Cannon
defeating Kelly Davis. Cannon had the worse light, but Davis got on the brakes
too hard on the other end and gave the stripe back to Cannon so that he could
advance into the final. Honorable mentions go out to Cory Freedle for having a
.009 light in the first round, Brad Cannon for putting together a .011 package
in the first round to defeat Ian Perri (.002 light, 8.089 on an 8.08 dial),
Chris Nagy for running 7.907 on his 7.90 dial in the first round, Chris Gartner
for running 8.054 on his 8.05 dial in the first round, Drew Upton for running
12.901 on his 12.90 dial in the first round, and Jason Dennell for his earlier
mentioned semi-final run. The best package in the first round award of a $50
savings bond sponsored by Scot Paul went to race winner Brad Cannon with a .011
package. The #1 qualifier award of a plaque and $20 In-N-Out coupon sponsored
by the Nagy Family went to semi-finalist Kelly Davis with a .003 reaction time.
January 19th Race 1
In the
Meziere Enterprises SCEDA Electronics category, it was “Fast” Jack Beckman
taking the win over Milt Gedo. Beckman cut a better light and broke out by less
as they both went under their dial when they got to the finishing stripe. In
the semi-finals, Beckman defeated John Brooks. Brooks went red by .003
automatically handing the win overt to Beckman. Gedo had the bye run in the
other semi-final. Gedo also had received a competition single the round before
due to a no show, so luck was definitely on his side up until that final round.
Honorable mention goes out to Ken Hemstreet for having a .002 light and running
a 9.275 on a 9.27 dial for a total package of .007 in the first round, and Gary
Hairfield for running a 12.931 on his 12.93 dial in the second round.
In the
Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels SCEDA No-E category, it was Kyle
Rizzoli taking the win over CW Hoefer in the biggest field in No-E history.
Rizzoli had the better light and was able to force Hoefer to break out at the
stripe to take the win. In the semi-finals, Rizzoli defeated Bernie
Cunningham. Rizzoli had the better light and was able to run closer to his dial
to take the win. In the other semi-final, Hoefer defeated Michael Agnew.
Hoefer had the better light, and was able to get to the stripe first, even
though Agnew ran closer to his dial. Honorable mention goes out to Courtney
Glover for having a .003 light in the first round, Church Echmalian for having a
.003 light in the first round, Chuck Killian Jr. for running 13.161 on a 13.16
dial in the second round, P700 for running 9.506 on a 9.50 dial in the second
round, John Joines for running 13.866 on his 13.86 dial in the second round, 739
for running 12.869 on a 12.86 dial in the second round, 1937 for having a .009
light in the second round, Kyle Rizzoli for having a perfect light in the third
round, and Michael Agnew for running a 10.474 on his 10.47 dial in the fourth
round. Tough luck goes out to L788 for going red by .001 in the second round,
Lee Cook for breaking out by .001 in the third round.
In the
McGeecams.com SCEDA Junior Dragster category, newcomer to SCEDA, Brianna
Blinzler, defeated Chris Nagy in the final. This was her first SCEDA race after
being on the waiting list to get in for quite a long time, but the wait paid off
for her. Although Nagy cut a slightly better light in the final, he broke out
at the finish line, taking too big of a stripe, giving Blinzler her first SCEDA
win in her first SCEDA Race. In the semi-finals, Blinzler defeated another
newcomer to SCEDA Brett Lenarth. He had also been on the waiting list for about
a year and a half. Lenarth had the better light, but took too big of a stripe
at the finish line giving the win to Blinzler. In the other semi-final, Nagy
defeated Meggie Bohn. Bohn went red, which handed the win over to Nagy.
Honorable mention goes out to Meggie Bohn for having a .009 light in the first
round, Eli Peppmuller for having a .007 light in the first round even though he
lost, Jason Dennell for having a .004 light in the first round, Kaylee Fry for
having a .003 light in the first round even though she lost to Dennell’s .004,
Brett Lenarth for running a 7.926 on his 7.92 dial in the first round, Kyle Nagy
for running a 8.902 on his 8.90 dial in the first round, Justin Ball for running
8.907 on his 8.90 dial even though he lost, Tori Brown for running 7.905 on her
7.90 dial even though she lost in the second round, and Chris Nagy for having a
.009 light in the third round. Tough luck for Kaitlyn McGee who went red by
.002 in the second round.
January
20th Race 2
In the Meziere Enterprises SCEDA
Electronics category, it was Saturday’s Runner-up, Milt Gedo, taking the victory
over Alan Hoefer. Gedo had a .008 light off the line, and was able to run a
little bit closer to his dial to defeat Hoefer in the final round. In the

number at the stripe in the double breakout affair. Honorable mention goes out
